Every artist needs a strong foundation.

Foundations of Art and Color Theory is the cornerstone of The Creative Mind Method. Designed specifically for teen artists, this studio introduces students to gouache while strengthening the observational skills, artistic principles, and creative habits that support every future Creative Studio.

Students explore how artists use color, light, value, and composition to communicate ideas and tell visual stories. Rather than simply learning painting techniques, they discover how thoughtful artistic choices influence mood, atmosphere, and meaning. Through guided demonstrations, studio exploration, individual critique, and creative challenges, students develop confidence in both their technical abilities and their artistic voice.

Whether students are preparing for future studies in fine art, illustration, design, or simply looking to grow as creative thinkers, this course provides the foundation for a lifelong artistic journey.
